Accommodation in Melbourne Australia
How to Find, Pick and Rent

Square meter for square meter, renting a serviced apartment or a holiday accommodation in Melbourne Australia is much less than the price of a suite at a hotel. You have more privacy, too.

So if you travel with family or a group of friends you can almost be certain that you will get a cheaper option by renting a house or an apartment.

If you're looking for an economical Melbourne vacation, not only will you be saving on the price of accommodation, you save on eating too! Just stock up the fridge and enjoy your own terrace-top BBQs! These holiday rental houses come often with a full equipped kitchen as well.

Holiday accommodation in Melbourne ranges from serviced apartments in the inner city through to luxury beach-front holiday house.

Tips to Pick Your Holiday Accommodation

1) First look at the location on the map and see if it suits your needs.

2) You may want to make sure there is a full equipped kitchen as it can vary substantially between one owner to another one. (oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc)

3) The owners who manage well their holiday properties will usually leave plenty of useful information regarding tourist attractions, local restaurants and so much more.

4) A high-end villa or economical living, everything feels more flexible when staying in your own rent house. I always felt more "on our own" and enjoyed that independence.

The perfect option for me would be a warm welcome by the owner when I arrive. The owner can show me quickly the property and give me a note with some basic information and an emergency phone number.

5) I also like the "Home away from home" feeling that some owners manage to give to their property.

So What's Your Favourite Apartment or House?

There are plenty of websites with a huge list of rent house or villa in Melbourne.

I want to share some of my favourites on this page.
